This position can be located in Boston, MA or New York, NY and will be reporting to the Investment Head, Siemens Financial Services Equity.Are you are looking to grow and make a significant impact within a dynamic team of established equity investment professionals focused on sustainable investment fields? If you have a background in valuation, transaction diligence, and corporate finance, then this is the opportunity you’ve been looking for.The Equity Investment Analyst’s primary role is to provide essential transaction diligence and valuation support to senior team members for private equity investments in energy transition and sustainable investment sectors, supporting Siemens’ core businesses in the Americas.You will make an impact with the following responsibilities:
- Support deal leads as a member of equity investment transaction teams on discrete tasks or work packages supporting the whole transaction lifecycle (incl. origination, valuation, due diligence, negotiations, internal approvals, investment management, monitoring, divestment)
- Primarily responsible for financial and valuation analysis as part of an investment deal team, including updating, modifying and owning the financial model
- Support viability evaluation and due diligence of potential investment targets, including industry benchmarking, market studies, risk identification, company valuation and comparative analysis
- Assist in preparing investment applications, including providing the necessary financial analysis and liaising with internal stakeholders
- Conduct sector mapping, market research and analysis, and support the screening of investment opportunities
- Support portfolio management, value creation, monitoring, business plan forecasting and reporting, review of board materials, and help maintain internal document repository
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or similar quantitative field
- Two or more years prior experience, having demonstrated the following skills:
- Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Merger and Acquisitions and/or Project Finance/Capital Markets
- Proficient in financial modeling (MS Excel), including assessing early and mid-stage company valuation, building, reviewing, analyzing and modifying models to enable the modeling of sensitivities and scenarios to support the investment process
- Experience with corporate finance, financial statement analysis, and various valuation techniques, including DCF, comparables, etc. to evaluate projects and companies across various stages of maturity and sectors
- Strong attention to detail and solid analytical and critical reasoning skills, especially with financial information
- Self-starter with intellectual curiosity, who routinely demonstrates initiative and commits to delivering a high-quality and timely work product
- Strong communicator who is proficient in working across an international team
- Skilled in drafting concise presentations (MS Power Point) with experience in conducting market research and summarizing key findings
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

- Although not required, candidates with a Master of Business Administration or similar Degree will be viewed more favorably
