About The RolePermanent – Yorkshire BasedGreat Britain’s electricity infrastructure is undergoing an ambitious, exciting and vital transformation. Together with industry, , one that protects the planet and serves generations to come.As Project Support Officer you will provide support throughout the project delivery lifecycle.This will include supporting project managers and consenting staff with day-to-day project delivery tasks and working in a large integrated and collaborative project team. Tasks will include contract and finance management processes, procurement, change control, contract variations and preparing appropriate communication documentation.This role is based from our Tadcaster office around 3 days per week, and we continue to from office and home.We are open to full time and part time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.About YouWhat we do isn’t just important – it’s essential. - Process and progress change requests from Suppliers and National Grid.
- Support the project team with the monthly drumbeat project management processes
- Support project managers in organising and managing meetings
- Managing action logs and prioritising workload for the team
- Preparation of slide packs for presentation at forums / meetings / stakeholder events
- Help support NEC contract management (Early warnings / Compensation Events / Applications for Payment)
- Support the regular contractual audit processes where required
- Manage Purchase Order requisitions and support the project manager with finance forecasting
- Provide other administrative support to the project team where required
What You’ll GetA competitive starting salary between £36,000 – £41,000 – dependent on capability.As well as your base salary, a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. - Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an engineering discipline and/or significant relevant engineering and construction experience required and an MBA preferred
- Experience with project management or equivalent relevant experience
- Certified project management professional preferred
- Experience with Primavera P6, forecasting and scheduling and a valid driver’s licence with a safe Driver’s history required
