The School brings together public and allied health disciplines including specialist community and public health nursing, midwifery, paramedic science, health and social care, social work, environmental health and public health. We are passionate about delivering better outcomes for patients, service users and communities by providing education opportunities for aspiring and practicing public and allied health professionals and implementing impactful research and knowledge exchange activity to inform public health service design and delivery, as well as policy at local, national and international level.The School hosts a World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre for Violence Prevention, which means we work with WHO to support a global work programme to implement a public health approach to violence prevention, supporting the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those targeting health and well-being, gender equality, and peace and justice.The role will sit in the Violence, Peace and Health Risk Behaviours Research Team led by Professor Zara Quigg. Under supervision, the post holder will work within specified research grants and/or projects, to undertake research, evaluation, and evidence synthesis. They will undertake literature reviews, study critical appraisal and data extraction, analyse data, and contribute to the development and implementation of quantitative and qualitative research and evaluation projects.
