Job description

You will be responsible for the payroll for several clients as well as assisting with the payroll for the Encore Group as required. You will work closely with a number of departments to ensure that the payroll is processed on time, effectively and accurately. This role requires great attention to detail and an ability to communicate internally and externally with a number of different stakeholders.What you’ll do:In all areas, you will need to ensure that company policies and procedures are consistently applied to the required standards.

  • Processing of payroll for several clients
  • Assisting with the payroll for the Encore Group – over 400 employees in total
  • Dealing with changes i.e. starters, leavers, SPP, SMP etc.
  • Dealing with sickness, unpaid leave, overtime, expense claims and bonuses
  • Working closely with the Payroll Officer and the HR team to ensure all employee records are up to date and salary changes are processed correctly
  • Uploading BACS payments to bank
  • Assisting with pension administration including creating and submitting monthly reports to company pension providers
  • Other ad hoc payroll duties
  • Other general administrative duties

What you’ll bring:You’ll help make us brilliant by having:Qualifications

  • A good standard of education is essential.
  • Payroll qualification (CIPP) desirable, but not required

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in payroll
  • A background in a finance role such as bookkeeping is also desirable but not required

Skills

  • IT literate – knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Iris Cascade Payroll is desirable
  • Experience of pension administration and auto-enrolment is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organisational, project and time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and can manage own workload
