Job DescriptionJob ID: 246329Date posted: 15/08/2024IKEA Exeter are looking to welcome a Unit Internal Communications SpecialistYour remit will be to support the National Communications team and the IKEA unit to develop our local and national communication approach. To define plan, support execution and follow up national communication campaigns, strategies, and tactics to secure high quality and impactful deliverables based on the UK & IE Communications Plan.WHAT WE OFFER:• This role offers a starting salary of £25,184 pro rata per annum, based on competence & experience.
• 20 hours per week, working 3 days out of 7. Hours will support the needs of the business.
• Occasional Sunday availability to meet unit project’s & events.
• IKEA is a Living Wage Foundation Employer.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY:• Support delivery of the local and national internal communication approach, leading business through people within the IKEA unit.
• Define, plan, Localise, and measure effective Group, National and Local communications based on the needs of the business and people for your unit. Work with the People and Culture Operations Coordinator to secure consistent activation for all unit coworkers to create awareness, drive engagement and build trust in the IKEA brand.
• Identify tactics to support the engagement of local Co-worker channels including but not limited to Viva Engage, Hej, Sharepoint and physical and digital communication areas to facilitate dialogue, encourage Co-worker involvement and contribute to an open and sharing climate.
• Work with local P&C Ops Coordinator to activate identified tactics.
• Secure effective and consistent unit communication across the relevant channels for audiences and secure that the channel landscape is understood and anchored with our steering groups and line managers.
• Involve, inform and engage co-workers on Growth Plan decisions and goals, with regular updates on progress and performance of the unit (Growth Plan Kick off, in unit communication, follow-up etc).
• Demonstrate a good and professional dialogue with key internal and external stakeholders leading and supporting the total overview of the local and national communications approach.
• Enable change and support change processes with effective communications.KEY PREVIOUS EXPERINCE & SKILLS:• Experience working with internal communications
• Experience working with strategic business planning; understanding the IKEA business, processes, and organisation
• Knowledge about relevant tools, applications, and channels
• Previous experience creating digital content.
• Experience in printing large format items but not essential.• Self-reliant and motivated with a proven ability to work successfully in a team environment, & independently, collaborating closely with peers and wider network of colleagues.
• Ability to communicate confidently and clearly and influence in a matrix organization
• Utilizing our branding to deliver important messages, using Intranet & Print.
