Part-time (3-days per week) Accounting Clerk Contract OpportunityWe are offering a 3-6 month contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Toronto, Ontario. This is a part-time position working 3 full days per week (Tuesday-Thursday) on site in Toronto, Ontario. The Accounting Clerk opportunity will be based in a dynamic workplace within the finance industry. The Accounting Clerk will play a key role in supporting a small accounting team, handling a range of tasks from data entry to project reconciliations. If you have 1+ years of related Accounting experience, with recent post-secondary Accounting education, then this could be the perfect role for you. - Efficiently process and manage bank deposits
- Provide administrative support to the accounting team
- Handle the intake of payables with precision and speed
- Execute data entry tasks with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- Conduct project reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
- Assist with printing payables and estimates as needed
- Manage a variety of ad-hoc requests related to accounting tasks
- Maintain organized filing systems for ease of access and efficiency
- Handle docket requests with professionalism and timeliness
- Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to perform various accounting tasks
- Possession of a minimum of one year of work experience in an accounting or finance role
- Recent post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or similar
- Demonstrated experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Familiarity with Billing procedures
- Strong Data Entry skills
- Experience in Invoice Processing
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of QuickBooks software
