They find out what you are looking for and match you not only with the right work but also the right setting and for either day-to-day supply or long-term roles.About this particular role;We’re working with a Secondary School based in Bolton, Greater Manchester who are in need of confident and outgoing 1-1 Learning Mentor to support a KS3 female student this September who has Autism on a full-time basis.We are looking for someone who has recent experience with SEN and additional learning needs on a 1-1 basis and generally in the classroom. The role is temporary and will be on a full-time basis commencing this September but could possibly lead to something longer term.Skills required to be a 1-1 Learning Mentor;
- Level 2 Qualified Teaching Assistant or equivalent
- Aged 21 and or above
- have an understanding of special needs and how to support those children specifically with Autism
- have excellent spoken and written English
- ability to break-down and articulate study material to your student
- helping teachers to plan learning activities and complete records
- supporting teachers in managing class behaviour
- supervising group activities
- helping with outings and sports events
- taking part in training
- carrying out administrative tasks
