Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?As a Portfolio Management Assistant with , you will be responsible for working with Investment Counsellors on portfolio management work as well as for maintaining up-to-date knowledge on investment solutions as well as tax and financial planning issues. You will draft Investment Policy Statements as well as some client correspondence. A key element is also the preparation of investment review presentations.What will you do?

  • Assist with the modelling, monitoring, and rebalancing of portfolios as well as inputting trades, when required
  • Maintain all administrative functions, such as database management, mass mailings, preparation of presentation/meeting materials, correspondence, managing reports, spreadsheets, and completion of special projects
  • Proactively identify client annual reviews and compile manager review schedules
  • Ensure compliance to client mandate and portfolio models
  • Track and manage cash holdings and balances
  • Provide training/mentorship to new employees, as required, and back-up to other positions, as needed
  • Respond to various client inquiries

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have

  • University degree in related field
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
  • CFA Program candidate administered by the CFA Institute
  • Highly service-oriented with good attention to detail and the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 apps
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs
