Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The Strategy Enablement team is responsible for accelerating progress against the T&O 2027 strategy through a portfolio of programs & initiatives including Workforce & Location Strategy, Innovation Hubs, Academic & Technology Ecosystem Partnerships and Technology Enablement. As Senior Manager, Vancouver Innovation Hub, you will support the Innovation Hub strategy, enabling the growth and development of T&O talent in our Vancouver Hub.What will you do?

  • To be a trusted advisor, aligning T&O to drive business focused outcomes. We empower people, drive strategic ambition and foster operational excellence.
  • Support all elements of Innovation Hub expansion and operationalize T&O’s Workforce and Location strategy
  • Assist in setting direction and support T&O teams with execution of their Hub strategy
  • Liaise with Hub leaders and Real Estate to build a best-in-class work environment and ensure adequate seating to meet current and future needs
  • Act as a conduit for Regional Leaders and Strategy Enablement to ensure strong employee engagement and communications
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders in the local market, including government, academic and tech ecosystem partners – work collaboratively with other RBC partners to engage with those partners
  • Develop and support relationships with all senior managers and stakeholders within the Innovation Hub
  • Support and lead initiatives to drive talent acquisition, employee engagement and retention and build out the RBC and Tech@RBC brands in the local market place
  • Increase brand awareness in local markets to drive engagement initiatives that will position RBC as a top tech employer of choice
  • Enable innovation by identifying and analyzing market trends and regional insights
  • Fuel transformation via challenging the status quo to develop innovative ideas
  • Articulate the transformation journey ahead; identify roadmaps, opportunities, new ways of working and mitigation plans
  • Support business case development for leaders and teams exploring alternate locations
  • Establish and chair working groups across the Hub and the enterprise to drive business value
  • Enable teams to onboard and expand, simplifying processes, developing and evolving templates, engaging with key Hub partners (WSS, CRE, P&CB, etc.) as needed
  • Track and report on KPIs related to regional talent, innovation hubs and events and sponsorships

What do you need to succeed?Must-have:

  • University degree or college diploma
  • Business communication skills combined with strong storyboarding and presentation skills
  • Financial analysis/preparing business cases and project management skills
  • Strategic thinking, financial and business acumen
  • Strong relationship management and project management capabilities
  • Ability to meet consistently high standards of quality while handling a variety of projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong writing and editing skills with commitment to excellence
  • Highly skilled with PowerPoint, MS Word; proficiency in Excel

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with external partnerships / stakeholder management with academic, community and government partners
  • Technology savvy
  • Financial services experience
