Permanent Full Time–Funds Handling Technician (FHT)Role DescriptionThe FHT is responsible for ensuring payments are received, deposited to the bank, and applied to policy owner accounts accurately and efficiently. The FHT will also be expected to provide high quality Client service to internal and external clients.Accountabilities:
- Cash Handling
- Ensure payments are processed accurately and efficiently
- Ensure funds are prepped and ready for deposit by days end
- Applying funds to client policies
- Ensure Clients (external and internal) are dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Customer Service Skills
- Basic cash handling experience
- Strong mathematical skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting practices are an asset
- Strong numeric keyboarding skills demonstrating high levels of speed and accuracy
- Strong focus on quality, accuracy and timeliness to meet daily deadlines
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Ability to thrive in a fast pace environment
- Strong multi-tasking organization and prioritization skills
- Ability to start work regularly at 8:00am
- Flexibility to work overtime occasionally if required
- Familiarity with LL mainframe, GWL mainframe, Ingenium, New Business Now (NBN) and Onbase would be an asset
- Microsoft Office skills are an asset
–The base salary for this position is between $35,200 – $ 47,700 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
