An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Head of Finance to join a NGO. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading the Finance function, ensuring the financial sustainability and success of the organisation.   • Lead and oversee the accounting requirements, developing analytical reports to improve operational performance.
  • Ensure adherence to financial protocols, and manage forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of statutory and management accounts.
  • Manage both internal and external audit functions, including SORP audited accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, statutory, and other reporting requirements in all financial matters.
  • Lead and direct the Finance team, promoting personal and professional development.
  • Work closely with the CEO, Board, and Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement effective growth strategies.

Key Skills and Requirements

  • Qualified in CPA/ACCA/CIMA with 8 to 10 years post qualification experience and a minimum of 6 years in a management role.
  • Ability to demonstrate high levels of strategic thinking, initiative, and leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in dealing with public and private organisations.
  • Experience in risk management, pensions, payroll, insurance, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent IT skills and application.
  • Outstanding communication and people management skills.
  • In possession of the necessary documentation to work and live in the Republic of Ireland and able to speak and write English fluently.

Full-time, permanent and hybrid working with role with great flexibility.
