They are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team.Responsibilities:– Preparation of general ledger journal entries associated with financial statement preparation.– Preparation and review of monthly financial statements, including detailed review of general ledger postings for all divisions and cost centres.– Maintenance of general ledger account reconciliations, including bank account reconciliations, and general ledger inter-co items due from subsidiary.– Preparation of various internal reporting, such as run data room reporting for data room load, quarterly branch incentive worksheets, Margin Analysis.– Preparation and maintenance of year end work for closing the financial statements and preparation for year-end audit/review.– Supervision of two staff accountants who perform similar financial account reconciliation / general ledger and financial statement reviews.– Preparation and reconciliation of various government reporting and remittances, including Federal and Provincial taxes, as well as Statistics Canada reporting, and Eco Fee filings and remittances.– Administration and Management of Company Premises Lease files including, but not limited to:– preparation of monthly rent payable schedule– reconcile and review annual common area cost reporting from landlords– maintenance of Lease Data Summary files– assist VP Branch Operations with lease renewals and offers for new locations– Maintenance of working paper files to ensure documentation of accounting processing and financial records are present.– Communicate and provide information for all departments and cost centres to external audit team for interim and year end audit/review engagement.– Assist with various government, sales tax and eco fee audits as they occur.– Assist with annual budgeting process.– Monitor corporate bank balances and deposit activity. Set up wire payments, bill payments, Online Tax Filings for company signatory approvals.– Prepare quarter end bank reporting information.– Answer questions and enquiries and provide information to all departments as required.Qualifications:CPA designation preferred, not mandatory10+ years of full accounting cycle experienceDynamics 365 experience would be a plusManufacturing industry experienceLooking for long term
