We offer products and services which extend along the entire Rail Electrification value chain to improve the quality of everyday life for millions of people worldwide.Position Overview:Our manufacturing facility in Louisville, KY seeks to hire a warehouse materials assembler to be involved with the movement of material throughout the production facility. Hours are 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday.What your day-to-day will look like:
- Effectively communicate with Planner, Supervisor and Peers
- Pull and issue parts for shop order kits
- Distribute shop orders to floor upon completion
- Update overflow location counts in SAP
- Update material location in SAP for parts
- Print labels for bags and boxes for materials
- Unloads, receives, verifies, and counts material delivered to the stockroom. Kits production work orders for release to the production floor.
- Cross training will be required to cover business needs.
- Performs cycle counting of all material in the stockroom.
To thrive in this role, you have:
- Warehouse experience with materials
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- SAP experience (helpful but not mandatory)
- Familiarity with cycle counts and material management (e.g., location management)
- Frequently required to use fine motor skills, assembling some small parts with excellent dexterity.
- Ability to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Use hand and power shop tools. Certification of some tools and equipment may be required, such as crane and forklift operations.
- Interact with and display professional conduct with customers and coworkers
- Meet internal Company standards for quality and workmanship.
- Perform 5S activities and maintain equipment in accurate working order, and improve work area cleanliness
- Perform work safely and healthily ensuring deviations to standard work instructions that will lead to quality, efficiency, or safety problems are immediately identified.
- May be required to work overtime, weekends, and different shifts as vital to meet business-critical requirements.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Cross-training will be required to cover business needs.
