School Support Staff – Shirley
Location: Shirley, Birmingham
Duration: Full-time or Part-time, Flexible
Salary: Competitive, with SEN allowance if applicableAbout the Role:
We are collaborating with a variety of outstanding primary, secondary, and special provision schools in and around Shirley. These schools are seeking dedicated support staff to assist with cover for absences, illnesses, and long-term needs. We have a wide range of roles available, including administrators, teaching assistants, 1:1 child support, lunchtime supervision, intervention teachers and more.Whether you’re looking for full-time work or part-time opportunities a few days a week, we have flexible options to suit your needs.Benefits:

Requirements:
- Recent or relevant experience in a primary setting within the UK, or experience working with children and young people in another capacity.
- Availability during term time, Monday to Friday.
- Strong environment and behaviour management skills.
- Skills and experience suited to working with children.
Accepted Qualifications:
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching and Learning in Schools.
- Level 3 Health and Social Care.
- Diploma in Education and Training.
- Level 3 in Childcare and Education.
- Early Years Education / Early Years Practitioner Qualification.
- Higher Level Teaching Assistant Qualification.
- Level 2 or higher in Administration, with SIMS experience.

- Adhering to school policies and procedures.
- Safeguarding of all pupils within your care.
- Following the National Curriculum or EYFS frameworks if required.
- Engaging in planning and lesson preparation where appropriate.
- Collaborating closely with school staff.
- Maintaining regular communication with the school and your consultant.
