Job Description:Our renown client from the construction industry sector is currently involved in several joint venture construction projects, and is looking to expand their accounting team and hire for a Project Accountant. As a Project Accountant for this role, your responsibilities will include the following:– Managing full-cycle project Accounts Payable & full-cycle project Accounts Receivable and Billing for the joint-venture construction project.– Processing journal entries, bank reconciliations, construction draws, and General Ledger account reconciliation.– Supporting with month-end/year-end closing activities, as well as preparing financial statement for the project during key project milestones.– Preparing project job costing, project budgets and forecasts– Performing variance analysis and financial analysis for the ongoing project.– Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including project managers, corporate accounting team, project vendors, customers, and project partners.– Coordinating with project team to complete project reviews and profit reconciliation and track WIP, as well as preparing ad hoc project reports.– Assisting the project team with ad hoc duties such as reviewing Business License, Bonding and Insurance requirements.Requirements:The ideal Project Accountant will have an educational degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields and is considering to pursue CPA. The Project Accountant will have ideally 3+ years of local full-cycle Project Accounting work experience especially coming from construction industry sector to understand job costing and construction draws. This individual must have excellent communication to interact with internal and external stakeholders, combined with attention to details, proactive attitude, solution driven approach and ability to work well in a team environment under deadlines.
