Description:POSITION OBJECTIVE:Responsible for offering administrative support to the production department through the oversight of planning, scheduling, directing, monitoring, and recording production data and associates.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor production schedules throughout the day and update Leadership with changes
  • Ensure that all production objectives and schedules are met by the intended deadline and offer a root cause analysis of reason and offer possible solutions to achieve result.
  • Work with the Production Team Leads and Supervisors to ensure that associates follow Quality Control processes and initiate additional training when required.
  • Strategize and troubleshoot with Production Leadership and other departments when necessary to mitigate potential supplier or personnel issues when meeting customer deadlines.
  • Seek out opportunities for ways to improve operational or financial goals; drive measures within the scope of the role to reduce waste such as time, labor, cheaper PPE, and other measures.
  • Work with the planning department to ensure that no obstacles exist to the Production schedule both current and future and ensure any possible issues and communicated and escalated when necessary.
  • Ensure that the Production Associates are fully trained and cross-trained when necessary to ensure a continuous and safe production workflow.
  • Partner with all internal and external customers to ensure that customer demands are met with the highest quality standard and without compromising safety.
  • Engage and collaborate quickly and efficiently to ensure that customer concerns and demands are met.
  • Comply with OSHA safety requirements, ensure all PPE & GMP policies followed and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years experience preferred
  • 5+ years manufacturing experience preferred
  • On the job training provided

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge gained through on the job training of company products, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Skill in operating various equipment as needed to perform the job
  • Skill in multitasking and time management
  • Ability to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departments
  • Ability to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidential
  • Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP’s, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defense

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communication
  • Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers
  • Must be able to reach, touch, grasp
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to climb, stoop/kneel, lift, pull and push
  • Must be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floor
  • Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products.
  • Level of Physical Requirements: Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 40 pounds
