Must be self-motivated and able to motivate others, enthusiastic and hardworking ability to train, lead and be approachable.The post holder will provide a clinical pharmacy service to a group of wards under the supervision of a Clinical Pharmacist and will be primarily responsible for organisation of the training within the department for the Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants including the traineesYou must be registered with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician and hospital experience is desirableMain duties of the jobThe post holder has responsibility to lead and develop all aspects of education and training for pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants, working with the Lead Pharmacy Technician Education & Training.To assess the quality of all education and training for pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants, making and implementing recommendations to ensure that good practice guidance is met.To ensure the safe and timely provision of all in-patient medicines reconciliation, inpatient and discharge medication supply and medication counselling services to wards as a senior member of the clinical pharmacy technician team.About usWe are committed to being an inclusive and diverse employer.   • Registered with GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Nationally recognised Medicines Management qualification
  • National Accreditation in accuracy checking (ACPT)
  • Practice Supervisor Accreditation or equivalent teaching accreditation.

Desirable

  • Educational Supervisor Accreditation or equivalent teaching accreditation
  • Studied to degree level
  • Management or Leadership qualification, willingness to undertake if not already held

  • Excellent IT/ computer skills

  • Experience of data analysis, including prescribing or drug usage data.
  • Demonstrable experience of multidisciplinary team (MDT) working

  • Experience using Electronic Prescribing Medicines Administration (ePMA) systems in secondary care
  • Experience in operational elements of deploying a new ePMA system
  • Experience in maintaining a drug database for a pharmacy computer system
  • Experience of delivering a change management project
