Purpose of the positionCorporate Finance is looking for a Country Finance Manager for US and Canada responsible for statutory and tax compliance, lead financial services hub located in Perrysburg, OH (R2R & I2P), and act as a finance partner for local management with overall country financial management responsibility.You will report to the Director, Country Finance in Finland or to the head of Hiab Finance shared services.Main tasks and responsibilities
- First point of contact in local country tax, statutory, audit, and financial risk management-related matters
- Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations relating to statutory & tax compliance matters
- Coordinating tax and statutory outsourcing engagement from a country perspective
- Ensuring that the outsourcing partner is delivering on time and accurate tax reporting and statutory accounting
- Managing relationships with external auditors as regards local financial audit
- Leading the financial services teams (R2R and I2P) and act as a line manager for the team leaders
- Supporting the Hiab financial services team on timely, accurate and transparent IFRS reporting to group
- Cooperating with Hiab financial services team in finance services related areas to ensure efficient and high quality service including deployment of harmonized financial accounting and control procedures and processes
- Acting as mediator between different stakeholders (corporate functions, CBS, compliance outsourcing partner, business controllers, business organization and auditors) in finance related matters
- Responsible for financial risk management, liquidity and financing of the companies together with Cargotec Treasury and Cargotec Tax
- Insurances (risk management & employee benefits)
- Supporting effective risk management together with Cargotec Risk Management
- Advising local management in finance related questions
- Treasury tasks; cash management, working capital management and treasury process development together with Group Treasury
- Participating in general country management processes, if required
What you’ll need to succeedEducation:
- University degree in accounting/finance/economics, or equal qualification
Working experience:
- 7+ years of experience in a relevant finance role
Skills and competencies:
- Good knowledge of IFRS and local statutory and tax compliance requirements
- Organization and coordination skills accompanied with excellent prioritization skills
- Solution-oriented mindset to identify the challenges and focus on the solutions
- Good communication skills and willingness to communicate and coordinate with different stakeholders
- Cooperation skills
- Good knowledge of Cargotec’s global financial systems (SAP, HFM)
