Job descriptionEnglish Teacher Bolton – November startA dedicated and passionate English Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school in Bolton, to join them on a full-time basis after the October half term for the remainder of the academic year, you will be required to teach key stage 3 & 4 classes of varying academic abilities.This position is five days a week, full time, and is open to ECTs as well as experienced Bolton teachers.You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents’ evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. Both Ancient History and Latin are taught up to GCSE. The school have a key focus on an investigative approach that compliments their well-researched pedagogy. You will also be required to mark the work and provide feedback along the way.Leaders have introduced a system to promote pupils positive behaviour, which is applied consistently by staff. This means that learning is rarely disrupted. This shows the schools strong focus on positive behaviour management. Leaders identify the needs of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) effectively. Teachers are well trained to support pupils with SEND to learn alongside their peers.
