It will certainly keep you on your toes and get you thinking.We are looking for a dynamic and creativeChild and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Inpatient Clinical Lead & Research Nurse to our Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), with an average 4 days a week working with the PICU team and 1 day a week designated for research – though there is some flexibility around this. You’ll be working 4 shifts a week – a mixture of earlies, lates or nights as we have a rota for our shift pattern.Dedicated to making a difference to the lives of young people at a vulnerable stage of their illness, you’ll be joining our team of nurses, doctors, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, family therapists, and dieticians.,Please note that this role attracts an additional allowance of£1475per annum/pro-rata on top of the salary offered.We’ll need you to be either and Registered Mental Health Nurse, Registered Learning Disability Nurse or Registered Paediatric Nurse (with CAMHS experience). You will need to have an interest in Positive Behaviour Support as this is the model at the Meadow Unit, as well as an enthusiasm for research.Main duties of the jobWe are looking for an individual who is energetic and enthusiastic about working collaboratively with young people and their families, offering containment and support to the wider nursing team. You should be committed to utilising acute nursing skills at the highest level to ensure the least restrictive care possible is being delivered.You will have the opportunity to work alongside the Ward Manager and Clinical Nurse Lead. You will be involved in the development of the nursing team who will be working on the PICU and the wider development of the CAMHS PICU service.
