We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Health and Social Care Lecturer to join our Adult Curriculum (ACADS) department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and maintaining the academic success of students. This role includes curriculum development, student assessment, and contributing to the overall quality and performance of the programs.Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Programme Tutor for one or more programs within the Adult Curriculum department.
  • Efficiently manage administrative duties, including admissions, timetabling, examinations, progress assessments, student attendance, and maintaining quality assurance documentation (course quality files and IQA).
  • Report on key performance indicators and engage in analyzing attendance, retention, and achievement data to support target setting and raise academic standards.
  • Contribute to curriculum development by preparing learning materials, marking assignments, and ensuring teaching and learning objectives are met with proper documentation of student progress.
  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching, blending formal scheduled classes, blended learning, and tutorials to enhance the student learning experience.
  • Monitor student progression and support their journey toward successful completion of their program.

Essential Criteria:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent).
  • Relevant industry experience in Health and Social Care.
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on administrative efficiency.
  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment within an educational setting.
  • A commitment to high-quality teaching and enhancing student outcomes.

Desirable:

  • Experience with quality assurance processes in education.
  • Familiarity with blended learning methods.
  • Experience in Internal Quality Assurance (IQA).
