Responsibilities:

  • End to end production of statutory accounts.
  • Reviewing balance sheets for adherence to UAP and suggesting improvements controls.
  • Ensuring SOX control compliance.
  • Main point of contact for the Auditors relating to the specific legal entities.
  • To be familiar with and keep abreast of latest accounting requirements / standards and company law and apply as necessary to the Group’s financial reporting.
  • Undertaking ad-hoc technical accounting projects and special reviews as required.
  • Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and manual journal entries for wider UK&I team.
  • Review and manage finance data, cleansing it for accuracy and summarising for senior management review.
  • Develop strong communication and reporting skills to supply senior management with key insights.
  • Building strong relationship with local, Shared Service Center, EMEA, Corporate Controllership and tax teams.
  • Other projects as required.

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP/ IFRS.
  • Experience of producing complex statutory accounts for multiple entries.
  • Highly proficient in SAP and Excel.
  • Gained qualification in a Top 20 Accounting firm preferable.
  • Enthusiastic and hard-working and will have a positive approach to challenges, thinking creatively to solve problems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with senior members of the Group and remote Finance teams.
