We’re united by a shared commitment to excellent and equitable health care.Position OverviewManages unionized staff unit rotations from both a daily perspective and long term planning. Under the direction of the Human Resource Manager is responsible for ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained for all departments.Experience

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows and Excel.
  • Training with Employee Scheduling Program (ESP) or other service based staff scheduling systems.
  • One year previous scheduling experience (in a health care facility preferred).

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of administrative program.
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • Confidentiality, accuracy, good communication skills and communication are essential.
  • Ability to function in a busy environment and manage multiple projects.
  • Must be highly organized and deal with interruptions.
  • Must be able to work independently and complete assignments within deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in English; both orally and in writing.

Physical Requirements

  • Office work. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and computer station.
  • May encounter aggressive and/or agitated individuals.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT.
