Outreach and Aspiration AdvisorIpswich, Suffolk£31,396 – £34,980 per annum, pro rataPermanent – Part-timeAbout the teamThe Directorate of Learning and Teaching brings together the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) and Library & Learning Services for staff and students. The Centre for Excellence leads institutional work in relation to the research and evaluation of evidence-driven enhancement of curriculum and pedagogy. This work underpins the University’s achievements in relation to Access and Participation, Teaching Excellence, and the good outcomes of all within our learning community.About the roleThe Outreach and Aspirations Advisor works across a range of education providers in our region to raise students’ aspirations to apply to and attend higher education. They work collaboratively with colleagues across the University of Suffolk to develop programmes for raising aspiration and attainment pre-entry to university, and to ensure that potential students understand opportunities for developing their potential and succeeding in their chosen area of study and future career. This work is particularly focused on those students from backgrounds under-represented in higher education.About youYou will be confident in delivering and designing programmes for young people in secondary education, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
