This office encourages and seeks accountability, feedback, evaluation, and assessment and appreciates the unique value that each person’s experiences and skills bring to the collective whole.What you will do!The purpose of this role is to support grant making, reporting and monitoring processes for the Office of Education Innovation and Improvement, including, but not limited to, the continued implementation of the Student Investment Account (HB 3427), High School Success, Federal School Improvement (ESEA/ESSA), and Early Literacy Success (HB 3198).Typical duties include:Synthesizing data related to EII programsAdministering and monitoring implementation for EII programsMaintaining relationships with members from local agencies, community organizations, grant recipients, and various program partners.Minimum Qualifications (Need to Have)A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years experience coordinating or administering a programORAny combination of experience or education equivalent to five years of experience coordinating or administering a programQualifying program coordination or administration experience must include developing a stand alone school program or coordinating a stand alone program which provides services external from an agency, such as providing services to state residents, local agencies, governments, non-profit organizations, or tribal governments.Minimum qualifications must be met to qualify for this position.Desired Attributes (Nice to Have):Candidates who are the most competitive will possess a compelling combination of the following background, skills, and experience:Knowledge of, laws, regulations, rules, policies, procedures and methods governing the administration of grants.Knowledge of financial methods, procedures and practices to assess the financial stability of grantees.Grant management and monitoring experience in an education setting, preferably a school district, public charter school, education service district or state education agency.Demonstrated expertise in education, administration, leadership or closely related field preferred.Understanding of principles and methods of program monitoring and evaluation, data collection, analysis and evaluation. Automated data systems and associated software such as spreadsheets, word processing or information tracking data bases.Experience in both conducting quantitative and qualitative research.Ability to organize, prioritize and complete a variety of simultaneous tasks.Experience working with culturally and individually diverse groups, including sovereign nations.
