Steps away from the main public transit stationWhat we offer:Highly competitive compensation package which includes, base salary, bonus, benefits, and career advancement opportunities!*Eligibility for benefits is dependent on the terms of employmentThe OpportunityReporting to the AVP of the Project Management and Transformation Office (PMTO), the Project Manager will be accountable for overseeing the project planning and implementation of initiatives approved by the AVP. This involves leading initiatives aimed at improving business processes, implementing new strategies, and driving significant change within First National. They will determine the appropriate methodology, resources, and order of operations for the delivery of solutions. They will also be involved with change request management, risk management and appropriate reporting methods for the purposes of creating transparency across the organization as it relates to project and change management handled by the AVP.How you will contribute:You embrace and champion change.   • Own the planning and delivery of approved transformation projects
  • Facilitate working sessions, progress updates, decision forums and project retrospectives
  • Write comprehensive project plans using prescribed templates and socialize said plans with all relevant project participants
  • Identify resource requirements, set expectations, and manage stakeholders to enable efficient and effective achievement of project outcomes
  • Manage reporting for all work packages within the project
  • Collaborate with workstream leads to identify and capture required changes to scope, time, and or cost
  • Ensure progress of workstreams by identifying and resolving emerging risks, issues and roadblocks by reporting them to the (PMTO LEAD) to ensure timely resolution of escalations
  • Prepare and present project progress updates at (PMTO) weekly meetings and ensure solutions are on track to deliver expected business value within expected timeframes
  • Monitor and track project health and financials (when applicable) to ensure reasonable scope is maintained
  • Allocate and manage resources for each project effectively
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the (PMTO)
  • Provides coaching/mentoring for newer team members
  • Participates in Scrum ceremonies to manage and facilitate project backlogs
  • Manage resistance from stakeholder groups by hosting open forums and feedback sessions
  • Facilitates workshops and information sharing sessions
  • Other duties as assigned by management

The experience you need:

  • PMP certification
  • 5+ years of relevant Project Management experience
  • 10+ years work experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably with exposure to mortgage lending
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Track record managing large projects impacting/involving multiple teams within an organization
  • Proven knowledge of project management tools and techniques
  • Robust resource planning abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Mature interpersonal skills with the ability to work with, and influence, all types of professionals.
  • Highly adaptable to working in an ever-evolving business area
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to self-motivate, prioritize and to meet all deadlines
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and SCRUM framework

Relationships:External Customers: Projects may involve interactions with investors, 3rd party business partners, software solution companies and other external stakeholders as appropriate.Internal Customers: You will have regular interactions at multiple levels within the organization. You will be interacting with business stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts, Senior Management and Executives, Business Analysts, and Product Owners. These interactions will include whiteboarding sessions, presentations, problem solving forums and retrospectives.Working Environment and Physical Demands Analysis:
