Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the Opportunity?As a Senior Network Security Analyst within Global Cyber Security, you will provide consistent levels of organizational and technical expertise necessary for the successful implementation, maintenance, and support of the critical network and security infrastructure services across all global RBC Intranet and Extranet environments. The primary responsibilities are to provide subject matter expertise for the management of Global Firewall rules, including Firewall rules risk assessment and accreditation, Business to Business VPN implementation and support between RBC and the Third party for inter-business communication. To provide advanced level technical expertise for troubleshooting andimplementing configuration changes across multiple firewall and VPN platforms. You will be regularly working with business partners, escalation teams (implementation/engineering), and vendors to resolve incidents/problems, and deliver infrastructure changes across the global RBC Enterprise (North & South America, Caribbean, Europe, Asia Pacific).What Will You Do?Responsible for the successful delivery of the firewall rule attestation and accreditation process globally.Responsible for risk assessment of firewall rules across multiple firewall platforms globally.Work closely with DevOps/ Automation teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, provide technical requirements and validate functionality before production implementation.Creating/improving process and documentation and prepares activity records and OM documentation.Participating in meetings and training sessions to review and understand new technology and service deploymentsDevelops, codes, documents, and executes programs of low to intermediate complexity.Provides input into high level and detailed technical specifications for medium to large projects.Contributes to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies.What do you need to succeed?Must HaveCertification in at least one of the firewall platforms and intermediate working experience with the following network and Security appliances/vendors: Firewalls (Check Point, Palo Alto, Fortinet) and/or certifications like CCNA, Security+.In depth and current technical knowledge of IP internetworking and the security exposures and mitigating designs and process associated with them.Strong understanding of security exposures and mitigating designs, including intermediate experience with the use of Firewall Management platform Algosec.Excellent understanding of the OSI model and protocols such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, Telnet, SSH, TCP/IP.University or College Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent 3+ years of experience as a Network Security AnalystCertifications like CCNP DC, CISSPNice-to-have:Working knowledge of Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP and Azure)Working knowledge of modern technologies (e.g. APIs, DevOps)CISA, CRISC, CCSP are considered assetRBC is committed to supporting flexible work arrangements when and where available.
