Position: Deputy Manager – Residential Home (Faversham, Kent)Are you an experienced professional in the care sector looking for your next challenge? Purosearch are representing a family-run provider with several residential homes across the South East of England, and are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join their residential home near Faversham, Kent.About the Role: As the Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring high standards of care are maintained and the well-being of our residents is prioritised. You will lead by example, supporting and motivating staff, and helping to create a safe and nurturing environment.Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the overall management of the home, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining quality care standards.
Lead, support, and mentor the care team to deliver person-centred care.
Oversee the development and implementation of care plans.
Support the Registered Manager with staff recruitment, training, and appraisals.
Manage staffing levels and rotas to ensure efficient running of the home.The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working in a residential care setting, ideally as a Deputy Manager or an experienced Team Leader looking to step up. We also welcome Registered Managers looking to step down into a Deputy role.
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is essential.
Knowledge and experience in dementia care is preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
