Join us as a Financial Control & Reporting Manager

  • In this role, you’ll support the organisation in our delivery of end-to-end financial control and reporting activity, ensuring the integrity of monthly, quarterly and annual financial information
  • We’ll look to you to proactively establish and maintain strong working relationships with key customers and stakeholders, along with the wider finance team
  • We’re looking for someone to take on a new challenge, from which you’ll hone your financial control expertise in a collaborative and supportive culture
  • This position is for a 12 month period

What you’ll doAs a Financial Control & Reporting Manager, you’ll ensure the delivery and integrity of monthly, quarterly and annual financial information, including balance sheet, profit and loss account, and internal and external reporting.You’ll review and challenge the monthly profit and loss and balance sheet, liaising with the function or franchise to understand and interpret monthly results. You’ll be aware of changes which impact the business, its products, and its financial performanceThrough the course of your work, you’ll:

  • Assist in establishing, documenting and following operating procedures which are aligned to our overall strategy and operating model, including controls to meet policy and reporting requirements
  • Act as a key partner, proactively contributing to decision making on complex or specialist issues to make sure that all accounting considerations are captured and implemented, while demonstrating judgement and a thorough understanding of the business
  • Review and challenge internal and external reporting and balance sheet substantiation
  • Act as an internal customer relationship manager and effectively maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Work with the team and across other teams within the operating model, to standardise processes and outputs and to undertake continuous improvement activity
  • Complete value-added reporting and analysis where suitable to meet our customers’ needs

The skills you’ll needTo succeed in this role, you’ll bring knowledge and experience in financial control, preferably gained in a global financial services environment. You’ll have experience of building and maintaining strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders in a changing environment.We’ll also look to you to bring:

  • A professional accounting qualification
  • Significant and relevant experience which demonstrates applied knowledge of accounting standards
  • A proven ability to build strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and customers across organisations and geographical boundaries, influencing and challenging as required
  • Demonstrable commitment to continuous improvement activities
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate issues to senior management
  • An astute eye for detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
