Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the job opportunity:RBC Capital Market Technology’s DataOps team is looking for a highly skilled execution/outcome focused senior business analyst with expertise in the Capital Market (pre/post trade) space to join the team. The successful candidate will be part of the DataOps team which is responsible for data lineage, IT Controls Assessment, data and testing amongst others. He/She will use their expertise to define the requirements and drive adoption of rules (data consumption pattern) based testing, build a sustainable process to build data controls out of observed data gaps, help resolved data lineage blockers, and drive the creation of IT Data Quality metrics and KPIs. This candidate will be required to engage with senior Data Architects, IT System Owners, Business Analysts, Data Analyst, Data Stewards, Data Owners to drive the standardization effort across different Lines of Business (LOB’s) and functions (Front Office, Operations, Market Risk & Finance etc.)What will you do?Lead meetings and working sessions with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure the consumer data consumption patterns across the data supply chain is understood.Document consumer consumption patterns and define requirements for enabling rules based testingCoordinate and drive root cause analysis of data quality issues reported in production and create quarterly reportingCoordinate and work with stakeholders to create meaningful Data Quality metrics and KPIsAnalyze requirements, identify gaps with a specific focus on data lineage and controls and propose delivery solutions.Support the CDE identification and declaration, working closely data and business partners.Apply CM expertise to analyze system documentation and artifacts to gather information and requirements that enable lineage, controls assessments, rules based testing and Controls TestingSupport control gap analysis, Data Risk Assessment and risk Controls and Self-AssessmentsWhat do you need to succeed?Must have:Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, engineeringbusiness analysts/data analysis experienceSQLExposure to data analyticsCapital markets industry.Nice to have :Cross Asset experience of Cash and Derivative Products (Rates, Credit, and Derivatives), Commodities, Equities etc.Good understanding of Trade Lifecycle (Pre, Post) and Front to Back functions (Operations, Product Control, Market Risk & Finance)Familiarity with data governance and metadata management tools such as Collibra.Understanding of front-to-back data flows and processing in Banking and Capital MarketsKnowledge of data quality, data management and data governance best practices.What’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
