Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?As a strategist and catalyst, this role provides value-add financial advice to 3 VPs under T&O Global Cybersecurity on 3 distinct portfolios of $182MM annual budget. This role is a strategic partner collaborating with clients and other stakeholders to develop and articulate the business drivers and financial implications of significant investments of Global Cybersecurity portfolio. The role is also critical in communicating tailored messages to across Enterprise platform clients on Global Cybersecurity initiatives along with benefits and financial impacts. The inputs and relationship management with business partners are critical to ensure the enterprise to run in a cyber secured environment while limited resources be properly prioritized and utilized to generate maximum benefits.What you will do?Partner to drive business results through insightful financial advice and performance management

  • Manage as a mini-CFO daily financials of $182MM annual budget and 3 distinct portfolios for 3 VPs under T&O Global Cybersecurity, incl. daily/monthly actual financial performance and end-to-end Forecast and Planning cycles of the portfolios.
  • Provide insightful financial advice and guidance amid complex, ever changing Cybersecurity landscape through continuously integrating multi-faceted information from varied sources and vetting existing assumptions for the best interest of internal clients.
  • Lead and develop efficient financial models to enable real-time financial monitoring as well as streamline monthly financial reporting on Cybersecurity Large Programs.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to cost saving both in the $182MM portfolio and potential synergies across Cybersecurity and T&O
  • Act as the go-to person of clients and maintain a high standard of customer/partner service quality by taking proactive ownership and accountability.
  • Foresee longer-term challenges and funding implications and make tailored recommendations on a consistent basis to help clients and RBC achieve Cybersecurity mandate.

Communicate tailored messages to Enterprise Platforms on Global Cybersecurity initiatives and benefits

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the Enterprise (i.e., P&CB, CM, WM, etc.) to articulate Cybersecurity initiatives and their financial impact as well as related benefits on all platforms.
  • Tailor stories to each platform and legal entity on their distinctive initiatives and impact on their financials (e.g., Cybersecurity investment specifically in US Wealth Management).
  • Streamline and simplify end-to-end recovery process through constructive, fact-based reasoning and actual implementation.

Create and maintain flawless control and governance environment

  • Streamline month-end process to drive efficiencies while not compromising effectiveness through collaborating with Financial Control and other CFO groups
  • Actively involve FC and Accounting Policy Group to align the expectations on accounting treatment and best practices with business partners; serve as bridge to help business connect with right stakeholders in CFO group.

What you need to succeed?Must Have

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent in Finance/Accounting/other related coupled with 7+ years experience
  • An experienced client facing financial advisor with ‘can-do’ mindset
  • An experienced financial analyst who has dealt with complex finance situation of clients, comfortable with providing tailored, value-add recommendations based on solid analysis
  • Proficient in Excel, preferable in macro and financial models; proficient in PowerPoint.
  • Accounting knowledge is a must

Nice to Have

  • Professional designations in accounting (CPA, CA, CMA) or other related education background
  • Master in Business Administration (MBA)
