Nurture Teacher – SEN School – KS3 & 4 PRU – MertonAs a SEN school in the Borough of Merton, we are looking to recruit a Nurture Teacher.Our school is a KS3 and 4 Pupil Referral Unit that caters for Secondary aged pupils who are permanently excluded, on respite from their home schools, Year 11 pupils without a school place and new arrivals into the borough.Many pupils have Social and Emotional difficulties, and some have associated learning difficulties which are wide ranging in terms of severity.We work closely with a range of professionals, with our own Safer Schools Officer on site twice a week, a Speech and Language therapist, Educational Psychologist and CAMHS worker.Each student has an Individual Learning Plan that includes social development opportunities. Students are taught in small groups and take a wide range of GCSE subjects in Year 10 and Year 11. - Nurture Teacher

- Teaching English, Maths and Science
- Inner London pay scale – MPS / UPS + SEN Allowance
- Must have UK QTS
- A strong academic background – GCSEs, A Levels and a degree from a reputable university
- Good written feedback of observations / performance management in training / previous roles
- Experience of or a real passion for working with children and students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- You must be able to work effectively within a team of specialist SEN teachers
- Willing to go above and beyond for students with SEN
