Pilgrim Hospital is situated on the outskirts of the market town of Boston and serves the population of the whole of South and Mid-Lincolnshire providing emergency and acute inpatient care, elective and emergency surgery, outpatient services and much moreThe Integrated Assessment Centre is a 24 bed unit which takes medical, surgical and urological referrals in from the Emergency Department, Urgent Care and community services. This is a busy fast paced unit with a daily turnover of up to 40-60 patients.The nursing team have been established over the last five years and are professional, knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. The is a real ‘team’ atmosphere on the unit which is reflected in our excellent retention of staff and high fill rate of job vacancies.Main duties of the jobAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our team on IAC. As a band 5 Staff Nurseyou will also manage patients who arrive from the ED and require stabilisation and first line treatment following assessment by the medical teams. You will have an understanding of acute medical emergency care and be willing to work towards excellence in that area. You will be competent in the management of sepsis and other medical emergencies. Training will be provided both formally and informally. You will maintain excellent standards of documentation and ensure your patients fundamental care needs are met.About usOur Trust is situated in the beautiful county of Lincolnshire and is one of the biggest acute hospital trusts in England, serving a population of more than 700,000 people.
