Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Provide support to IB countries and coordinate financial activities of month and quarter end closing, forecasting and planning (Bluebook, Executive Reports, Plan, EWST, among others) and submissions.
  • Review financial statements and analyze countries’ results; perform reasonability of countries’ submission of deliverables.
  • Analyze and identify profit improvement opportunities for IB countries.
  • Analyze and review processes with the countries, to achieve the divisional performance goals and provide recommendations to make sure continuous improvement.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of the respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

  • MBA is an asset or undergrad in Business, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Engineering (or related field)
  • Previous experience in accounting, financial analysis and reporting
  • Advanced excel skills
