Salary: $26.79 – $33.49 per hour (To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Status: Permanent Full Time
Closing Date: October 9, 2024Position Summary
As an integral member of the Department of Anesthesia and Pain Management the Administrative Assistant III, General acts as a facilitator and key resource for the Department of Anesthesia and Pain Management (DAPM) on administrative matters across UHN and Women’s College Hospital.Duties
- Provides complex administrative support services to the Evelyn Bateman Cara Operations Chair in Ambulatory Anesthesia and Women’s Health; Co-directors, UHN Anesthesia Assistants Program; and other senior staff in the department
- Coordinating, organizing or planning of meetings, grand rounds and events
- Supports the UHN-WCH Anesthesia Observership Programs and the anesthesia UHN Personalized Learning Program
- Ensures efficient daily operation of the office including ordering of supplies, delivering mail/faxes; submitting requests and maintaining updated department contact lists
Qualifications
- At Minimum, completion of a 2-year community college program in health care administration or recognized equivalent
- At minimum over 3 years up to and include 2 years practical and related experience and/or 2 years on the job training
- Extensive on-the-job computer/word-processing and spreadsheet software experience, in Microsoft Office environment
- Experience working with EPIC EMR for anesthesia scheduling is preferred.
- Experience working in a health care environment, an asset
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Able to operate effectively in an interdisciplinary team
- Experience working in a health care environment within a teaching hospital, preferred
