What you’ll do:As Labourer, you will assist with packing of equipment crates and mechanical build of Telecoms equipment cabinets and consoles as detailed within Engineering Work Packs. You will be based in our Workshop in Aberdeen (Westhill). The day-to-day:

  • Mechanical construction of equipment racks and consoles following technical drawings encompassing design layout.
  • Assist with packing of equipment as per packing list.
  • Assist technicians and engineers with interconnection of racks, consoles and field equipment in accordance with drawings for FAT.
  • Manufacturing of steelwork for brackets to enable secure fixing of equipment.
  • Raise any health and safety issues during Toolbox talks.

What you’ll need:

  • Some work experience, looking to move into a workshop role with plenty of training opportunities.
  • Some experience with hand tools and willing to expand on that.
  • Willing to learn and help your team members
  • Right to work in the UK.

Nonetheless, it would be advantageous if you possess great interpersonal skills, an optimistic attitude and are self motivated as these will allow you to have a positive interaction with your team and partners. Additionally, the following would help you in your job:
