An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a paediatric staff nurse to join our recently refigured service within the children’s outpatients/ planned care setting.At East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, we are looking for a motivated candidate who wants to develop their skills to meet the evolving needs of the service. The successful applicant will be adaptable, enjoy working within a multidisciplinary team across site and willing to learn new skills, specifically venepuncture and cannulation.Main duties of the jobFull supportive training will be provided on induction to the successful candidate. This will include a period on our inpatient children’s ward and short stay assessment unit. - Registered Paediatric Nurse on the NMC register
- Evidence of continual professional development

- Additional Nursing Qualifications i.e A1/NVQ Assessor award /mentorship

- Recent experience within the NHS or similar organisation
- Generic experience in an acute care setting
- Knowledge of quality, audit and research
- Ability to manage a clinical case load
- Demonstrate an up-to-date skills inventory to include Basic Life Support, drug calculation and use of infusions

- Experience within specialities relevant to Paediatric Outpatient caseload
- Experience of working in an hospital environment
