About the roleThe Department of Communication & Journalism offers outstanding education and research on communication, marketing communication and journalism. Our journalism courses are accredited by the three main industry bodies, the Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC), the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ), and the Professional Publishers Association (PPA). Some of our marketing communication courses are accredited by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).We are looking for an enthusiastic Demonstrator in Journalism (shorthand Teeline) to join a dynamic and highly qualified team of communication and journalism demonstrators. The successful applicant will have good knowledge of Teeline as required by the NCTJ, as well as communication skills, and a real interest in teaching and learning. The role requires efficient delivery of the demonstration of journalism shorthand skills to undergraduate and postgraduate students and will support the development of Journalism students. Applicants should be committed to enhancing shorthand delivery and student experience at BU.This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service’s Points Based System.
