Join us at Ipsen and be a part of something truly transformative!SUMMARYReporting to the Head of Medical and Regulatory Affairs, the Senior Medical Manager provides high-quality project management and business support to the designated therapeutic areas, with the goal of optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Medical Affairs team’s execution. The Senior Medical Manager is the execution driver for critical Medical Affairs projects in the Oncology, Rare Disease, and Neuroscience therapeutic areas and is the main contact for the team regarding tracking, strategic reporting processes, dashboards, KPIs, and vendor management.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / Job EXPECTATIONSResponsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Drives the Medical Excellence strategy and leads project management of high-value tactics ensuring alignment across the team locally and globally (e.g., objectives/KPIs, medical and field plans, advisory boards, congress activities, medical reporting) within the Oncology, Rare Disease and Neuroscience Therapeutic-Areas (TAs).Leads vendor management and drives review, negotiation, and execution of contracts in alignment with TA leads. Coordinates with external vendors to align on project status, budget, meeting coordination, and actions follow-up, including monitoring project budgets and scope.Creates and maintains a robust Medical Affairs projects status tracking system, and monitors progress across the Medical Affairs team.Serves as a central point of contact for the Medical Affairs team with the clinical function within global medical affairs, business partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.Ensures proper tracking of investigator-initiated trials and company-initiated trials as per Ipsen’s internal process.Supports the content organization and review process for internal presentations and materials, including managing meeting set-up, minute taking, and distribution.Supports the Grants and Donations process in coordination with the Grants and Donations Committee.Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies that govern the conduct of Ipsen Canada employees.KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES & EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree required. A degree in life science preferredCertification of Continuous Medical Education and/or Continuous Professional Development is an assetMinimum of 8 years of related experienceDemonstrated 5 years’ experience in project management in clinical trial or medical operationsMinimum of 3 years’ experience in Commercial or Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industryVendor management experience preferredExperience in developing relationships with both internal and external stakeholdersMust be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work independentlyKnowledge of Innovative Medicines Canada guidelinesProficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with exceptional organizational and time management skillsStrong communication skills, including with cross-functional teamsStrong project management and creative problem-solving skillsAbility to travel up to 15% to attend medical congresses and other company meetingsThank you for considering Ipsen as an employer of choice.
