Opportunity for an Assistant Merchandiser to join a highly successful business based in Stoke-on-Trent. This role will offer a salary up to £30,000.Assistant Merchandiser responsibilities include:

• Build and establishes strong working relationships throughout the business, with our planning team, head of Pre-production planning Products sales, margin, and availability targets.
• Respond to request from the Merchandiser and HOM for trading updates and ad-hoc reporting.
• Updates Trade information when required, highlighting risks and opportunities with the guidance of the Merchandiser, and working closely with the Buying Director and Buying Manager.
• Ensuring all product data is maintained on the system and any changes are actioned.
• Aid the Merchandiser to prepare documents for Range Reviews, Sign Offs, and Strategy presentations
• Help to ensure all Range Plans are robust and accurate to meet sales plans. Reviews sales and forecasts monthly sharing all info with both Buying and Merch.
• Work alongside the Merchandiser to manage stock, commitment, and the Merchandising critical path
• To work with the Buying and Merch Team to review Seasonal Lessons Learnt and Strategy
• Responsible for the creation and management of an accurate line detail for all products each season.
• Working closely with the DC team, Pre-production and the Web team to ensure products launch on time.
• Thinks innovatively to create Excel spreadsheets that analyse the performance, availability, and stock holdings across the business. Applying formulae and pivot tables to automate reports to run on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Can analyse and manipulate large sets of raw data, drawing conclusions, developing recommendations, and providing solutions.

• Experience working within an established Retail business – Essential
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel – Essential
• Experience with NetSuite – Desirable
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal – Essential
• Strong organistaional and time management skills – Essential
• Ability to efficiently manage workload – Essential
