The position plays an instrumental role leading the transformation initiatives of IB Commercial, one of the three Must Win segments of the bank.What you’ll do?Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.Leading special cross-functional and multi-country projects to transform International Commercial Banking, in line with the LOB vision, specifically in the Sales, Services, and Technology areas.Developing strong relationships with the regional and in-country business and support function teams to assure the success of the team objectives and initiativesProvide project management support in the planning, establishing project governance, implementation and reporting phases of the projects, and assuring flawless execution of multiple initiatives at the same timeLeading continuous improvement initiatives for the business line through integrating innovative ideas, leveraging best practices and recommending and managing changes.Responsible for business management and successful delivery of complex strategic, regulatory and other business projects undertaken by IB Wholesale BankingSupport with issue resolution/escalation and guide decision-making processes as requiredSupport with project plan design and execution related to business initiatives and target operating model implementations across IB Wholesale Banking footprintPerforming business analysis to assess the capacity and capabilities of specific Banking units under review, the appropriateness of policies and procedures, and their conformity with audit and/or the ICCB model.Developing strategies, programs, and policies that enable and support the client experience at critical touchpoints while also revisiting, analyzing, and entrenching processes, procedures and Service Level Agreements that enable the IB Wholesale Banking Sales & Support Delivery ModelAssist the Director, Sales Force Effectiveness in conducting periodic touch bases with the IB Wholesale Banking units in the field, by assisting in the preparation of the touch bases, and by directly participating (and leading them from time to time).Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.What you’ll bring:3+ years experience in Banking, ideally in the Commercial and/or Wholesale Business Division1-2 years experience in Management Consulting is an assetStrong negotiating, influencing and relationship building skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Strong project management skillsHighly developed problem-solving skillsExcellent analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal communications skills to effectively deal with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and deliver messaging on key initiatives.Candidate must be Fluent in English and Spanish (written and oral)Interested?If your experience is closely related but doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification, we do encourage you to apply – you might be the right candidate for this or other roles at Scotiabank!At Scotiabank, every employee is empowered to reach their fullest potential, respected for who they are and, embraced for their differences.
