Job description
Our client is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Health and Safety Graduate to join their busy manufacturing operation.As a Health and Safety Graduate, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of all employees, as well as maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, conducting safety audits, and providing training to employeesKey Responsibilities:Assist in the promotion of a strong health and safety culture within the workplace through a robust near miss and hazard reporting system. Continuous involvement and communication with EHS Manager and other department representativesConducting safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risksDeveloping and implementing safety policies and proceduresProviding safety training to employees and managementInvestigating accidents and incidents and recommending corrective actionsMaintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulationsCollaborating with other departments to ensure safety standards are metParticipating in the development of emergency response plansKeeping up-to-date with the latest developments in health and safety regulationsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety or a related fieldPreferably college work placement experience in the area of health and safetyKnowledge of health and safety regulations and best practicesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsOther information:Hours of work Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5pmOther Benefits – including pension and health insuranceHybrid not an option currentlyIf you are passionate about health and safety and are looking for an exciting opportunity to start your career, we encourage you to apply for this position.
