You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience.At Dillon, we operate as one team. This position is available in our Dillon Vancouver office. Responsibilities:What your day will look likeWaste Management Planning

  • Assist with solid waste projects related to waste diversion programs, waste management planning and approvals, and waste management facilities
  • Perform assessments, calculations, data collection, and data analysis to support planning and engineering activities.
  • Assist project managers and liaise with waste management specialists, engineers, environmental scientists, and others on a variety of multidisciplinary design teams (including project engineers, planners, biologists, technologists, etc.).
  • Supervise and complete audits of residential organics, recycling and garbage collection carts.
  • Supervise and complete audits of organics, recycling and garbage collection loads at waste facilities.
  • Communicate to all members of the public in a manner that is effective, friendly and professional and ensures exceptional service.
  • Conduct data analysis and reporting.
  • Coordinate and manage project tasks, budgets and schedules.

Qualifications:What you will need to succeed

  • A degree in engineering, environmental sciences or planning.
  • 2 – 5 years of experience in solid waste management, preferably within a consulting environment.

Experience:

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, and keen attention to detail.
  • Aptitude to learn.
  • Ability to understand and work with relevant provincial and federal environmental legislation, environmental policies, codes and standards.
  • Ability to apply criteria to analytical data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint is an asset

Compensation$64,000 – $90,000Dillon includes the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position, and is dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region.
