Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the Opportunity?The Global IT Risk Controls Assurance team is focused on effective identification, documentation, assessment, and continuous management of Key IT controls across RBC. Enhancing our controls environment includes performing governance over our repository of Key IT controls and executing on reporting to provide management visibility over the IT control environment. This program provides the ability to monitor compliance with Enterprise policies and standards and enable proactive risk management.What will you do?Control GovernanceSupport the review of existing IT control documentation to ensure alignment with Internal Controls Management StandardSupport review of IT controls being added and retired from the enterprise book of recordEstablish and maintain control management best practices across RBC’s IT controlsProvide ongoing feedback, advice, and recommendations to improve and streamline the IT control repository, including identification and implementation of efficiencies in governance routinesCollaborate with key stakeholders to provide guidance on how to best apply controls in IT processes and align to Policies and StandardsControl ReportingSupport the delivery of controls testing results into wider Global IT Risk reporting, enabling the ability to establish an end-to-end view of technology riskProvide reminders to key stakeholders for controls with annual control assessments coming duePrepare timely and accurate reports on a regular basis as well as create ad-hoc reportsEstablish strong governance over control testing result reportingDrive standardization, consistency, and transparency across all reporting initiativesWhat do you need to succeed?Must-haveUniversity graduate or equivalentStrong stakeholder and relationship managementStrong communication (verbal and written) skillsExperience with IT controls testing and/or IT audit, with a risk management foundationAbility to think analytically, navigate ambiguity and recommend solid solutionsAbility to multi-task and flexibility to adapt to priority changesNice-to-haveProfessional designations i.e. CRISC, CISA, CISSP, PMPStrong problem-solving, analytical (including qualitative analysis), research and quantitative skillsKnowledge of RBC Policies and StandardsExperience using Archer, ERIC and ORMSAbility to use a systemic approach to solving problems through attention to detail, analysis, and evaluation of alternative solutionsRBC is committed to supporting flexible work arrangements when and where available.
