Job SummaryUnder general supervision, the Intake Analyst is responsible for providing project management and general research administration support to Office of Clinical Trials Activation (OCTA) teams. Incumbents will provide a high level of diligence, accuracy and outstanding customer service in the furtherance of clinical trials activation. OCTA Intake Analysts will interact with a variety of stakeholders including OSR, /CD, /RB, faculty, department and other OCTA staff.   • Bachelor’s degree in related area with a minimum of two years work experience in administrative analysis or operations research-post BA/BS degree
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, local, sponsor and institutional regulations, policies, and guidelines; ability to comprehend and interpret complex language related to federal, non-profit and University regulations
  • Ability to manage a high volume of transactions/data with high level of accuracy. Familiarity with UCSF contracts and wants policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated competence in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook; ability to learn Salesforce or similar database software
  • Ability to maintain independent judgment; strong organization, communication skills (verbal and written); and a customer service focus
  • Maintains current knowledge of compliance regulations in all areas of research administration
  • Effective problem-solving skills; ability to multi-task and work in deadline-driven environment
  • Experience in a clinical or research environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years of applicable work experience in administrative analysis or operations research.
  • Knowledge of applicable compliance requirements related to use of human or animal subjects in research, financial conflict of interest, biosafety, etc.
  • Previous project management experience

This includes managing the clinical trials management system (CTMS), Online Collaborative Research Environment (OnCore). Additionally, the OCR is responsible for developing budgets and conducting coverage analyses and research billing plan reviews for clinical research studies conducted at UCSF. The OCR negotiates payment terms with industry and nonprofit sponsors. The OCR is responsible for processing new clinical research protocols and amendments, data collection and reporting using multiple electronic research systems and OnCore for extensive trial project configuration.
