Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is currently recruiting a Director, Global Oncology Communications, GU and Public Affairs. This is a hybrid in-person role with a preferred location of Raritan, NJ or Spring House, PA.This role will lead global Oncology TA communications for the genitourinary pipeline, including prostate, bladder and other disease adjacencies, responsible for product, reputation and organizational communications, globally. You will work with colleagues across the company to develop and deploy global public affairs and reputation-building strategies that deliver results.A new role within the Global Portfolio Communications team, the Director will report to the Global Therapeutic Area Communication Leader, Oncology and also provide world-class communications for the overall oncology portfolio. The position requires a strategic problem solver who can lead efforts to strengthen our reputation as a global health innovator in oncology, working with cross-functional partners, including senior leaders in the R&D, Global Commercial Strategy, Supply Chain, Investor Relations, Business Development, and Global Reputation and Engagement organizations.At Johnson & Johnson, we believe health is everything! Learn more atKey Responsibilities:External Communications1. Lead strategic global communications for the Oncology GU portfolio and pipeline, articulating a clear strategy and messaging in support of the business priorities today and in the future. Key efforts include distilling scientific data and strategies into compelling messages for press releases, key messages, social media content, as well as planning and tactical execution across multiple channels (earned, owned, paid, etc.)2. Lead public affairs and market shaping strategies across the Oncology portfolio with a focus on GU, collaborating with global and regional partners to proactively shape external environments.3. Drive business development communications and planning for the GU portfolio and pipeline, partnering with cross-functional teams to communicate the value of external innovation as a Company growth driver.4. Serve as a valued counselor to a team of leaders across R&D, Global Commercial Strategy, Supply Chain, Business Development, HR, Commercial, and Finance to connect business objectives with communications outcomes.5. Proactively get results across earned and paid media and social media channels and partner to handle issues as needed.Executive Thought Leadership and Internal Communications6. Drive and implement global thought leadership program for the Global R&D Head, Oncology and other TA leaders to communicate our TA value proposition and vision to eliminate cancer; connect our business priorities to the stories we tell all external audiences.7. Advance outcomes and employee engagement for the GU pipeline and portfolio through internal communication and disease awareness initiatives, always leading with a One Team mentality.J&J Oncology Reputation and GCA Partnership8. Champion J&J reputation as the global innovator focused on eliminating cancer, supporting above-brand content strategies to differentiate that improves competitiveness in GU and other cancers.9. Collaborate with regional and enterprise partners to forge new opportunities, share best practices and support local strategies.QualificationsEducation:

  • Bachelors required

Experience and Skills:Required:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing communication in a large company, NGO, government or public relations agency; proven track record of success.
  • Outstanding written, oral and visual communications with a focus on Smart Brevity
  • Standout colleague, open and transparent communicator
  • Global mentality and successful track record of working in a global or regional function, with experience implementing international projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the business, including R&D and commercial priorities as well as key competitive issues for biopharmaceutical science and innovation
  • Proven track record to take initiative and make sound decisions based on changing priorities while leading multiple projects
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, matrix environment and driving results through influence
  • Outstanding attention to detail as well as writing and communication skills
  • Reliable and efficient project execution, proven analytical skills and strong sense of urgency
  • Exercise a high level of confidence and independent judgment in regular business situations

Other:

  • Up to 25% domestic and international travel required.

Salary:The compensation and benefits information set forth in this posting applies to candidates hired in the United States. Candidates hired outside the United States will be eligible for compensation and benefits in accordance with their local market.The anticipated base pay range for this position is $142,000 to $244,950.Bonus:The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.Benefits:

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year
  • Work, Personal and Family Time – up to 40 hours per calendar year
