And we are building momentum.The opportunityThe Limits Specialist is part of the centralized limits group in our Credit Support national team within the Credit Support department. The role is responsible for servicing and maintaining Canadian Western Bank’s centralized limits functional area, and will work collaboratively with the Manager, Loan Support to drive a high level of quality and standards, risk management, and strong data integrity. This individual will contribute to limits specific projects to ensure the team continues to provide the standardized, optimized support to achieve our goal to be the best full service bank for business owners in Canada.Specific AccountabilitiesThis role will be focusing primarily on administrative activities related to the WAVE Insurance Expiry Report. This includes, but is not limited too:Contacting insurance brokers, either by email or phone, to obtain copies of policy renewalsReviewing policies received to ensure they meet requirements as per commitment letterUploading received policies to WAVE in accordance with documentation standardsCreation of out of order records for policies that are cancelled or where renewal policies are not receivedWorking closely with the Manager, CLPG to identify areas of opportunity for the follow up processOther accountabilities specific to CWB’s centralized limits functional area:Review and interpret credit approvals to ensure appropriate limit structure creationCreate and amend all limit structures in T24Link all limit reference structures between WAVE and T24Create all Personal Overdraft Protection AccountsCreate all Foreign Exchange Forward ContractsCreate all Loan Pool accounts related to CWB lead syndicationsProcess temporary credit extension fees as requiredPrepare and submit all daily/weekly/monthly reportingComplete information requests from lenders, the regional support centers, and corporate office departments as requiredClient centric, collaborative & change ready. Respecting all & each other, to succeed as one – oneCWB growing together.Foundational knowledge and experience to grow fromEducationDiploma in Business Administration including minimum 2 accounting courseProfessional:Minimum of 3-5 years credit support experience with strong knowledge of collateral securities.Knowledge of commercial and equipment lending, loan administration and credit processes.Experience in risk assessments, business banking and credit processes, including loan administration, collateral securities and credit processes including more complex commercial loans.Strong working knowledge of commercial lending policies, procedures, regulations, documentation, compliance issues, collateral securities, and audit requirements.Strong knowledge of the Banking System, Loan Origination Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Forms.PersonalCustomer focused, with validated ability to engage in and drive multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast paced, high volume, work environment.Keen eye for detail, identify efficiencies and continuous improvement in processes aligned with corporate culture.Creative problem solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to diffuse challenging situations and find common ground.Respectful, dedicated, and self-motivated teammate with experience in peer-to-peer coaching and mentorship.Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of partners in a non-client facing environment.Why work with us?Your success is our obsession!
