Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?This role is part of our U.S. Chief Transformation Office (US CTO). The USCTO serves as thought and execution partners to senior executives in RBC U.S., offering targeted support for high-priority and complex strategic problems. The team also acts as a catalyst for transformation, cross-platform collaboration, new capability development, and drives RBC U.S.’s strategic agenda.The USCTO offers a dynamic, fast-paced, and exciting environment with unique exposure to distinct parts of RBC U.S., RBC’s second home market. Working within a high-performance area of the bank, the team provides opportunities for skill development, career advancement, and the chance to bring some of the bank’s most impactful initiatives to life.The Manager, U.S. Strategy, Transformation and Governance role plays a pivotal part in the delivery of strategic solutions that effect large, highly complex transformations in the US. Collaborating closely with senior RBC U.S. leaders and cross-platform teams, you will drive and own key pieces of analysis or execution in strategic initiatives.What will you do?Strategic Initiatives Delivery

  • Support in-depth strategic reviews to support a portfolio of cross-platform U.S. initiatives, apply frameworks and methodologies for strategic insights and solutions and conduct research and benchmarking of peer strategies
  • Summarize information into a well-structured fact base, produce materials for RBC U.S. Executive Committee and RBC Board and present engagement deliverables, raising risks/issues and providing solutions
  • Ensure transformation and growth strategies are well developed, articulated and aligned across businesses and with U.S./enterprise priorities, and identify benefits such as scale, simplification, new capabilities, and revenue growth opportunities
  • Support the annual enterprise strategic development and reviews as valuable contributors to Enterprise Strategy, Global Risk Management, and senior leaders of the bank

Governance Support

  • Develop and maintain dashboards to track the progress and performance of cross-platform initiatives and maintain a calendar of key milestones and deadlines
  • Liaise with US CTO project teams and stakeholders to develop continuous reporting of project status, risk factors, track defined metrics of value creation
  • Provide forward-looking view of project health, surface early indicators of roadblocks and provide solutions

Stakeholder Management and Communication

  • Work closely with Second-Line-of-Defense Risk Management to ensure engagement and support the development of high-quality executive reporting to communicate portfolio progress and key insights

What do you need to succeed?Must-have

  • 2+ years of experience in Corporate Strategy, Consulting, Product Management or Capital Markets experience ideally within a Financial Services or FinTech company
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments, remaining flexible while delivering high-impact results
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills and presence
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to gather, synthesize, and interpret data effectively with a technical aptitude and experience with financial modeling
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships and collaboration at every level of the organization

Nice-to-have

  • MBA, graduate degree or professional designation
  • Management consulting experience with an emphasis on business strategy
  • Domain experience a bonus
