BOC Limited, a Linde companyProcurement Manager – PG&P and IndirectsAny UK Hub, United Kingdom | req18787What you will enjoy doingThis is an exciting role which plays an instrumental part in the development and execution of our sourcing strategy as they are responsible for the maximising of supplier productivity across both hard and soft savings.Working with the business and externally, this role is ultimately responsible for managing all aspects of our ‘best in class’ key supplier relationships. Partnering specifically with their business unit, they ensure that the goods and services supplied are delivered to the right quality, price, and delivery in the safest way.This role keeps abreast of the supplier market outlook, innovation, products, and pricing and uses their market knowledge and information to identify products and suppliers where necessary. They will also facilitate access to supplier innovation and product development within the market.Alongside this, our Procurement Managers have the opportunity to learn and leverage the global buying power that comes from being part of the Linde group, as they collaborate and work closely with the regional and global teams sharing learnings and best practices of working.The Procurement Manager role provides a progressive development pathway into the role of Head of Strategic Sourcing within the Procurement structure.What makes you great

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar level senior/management procurement role within a large national or global company
  • Educated to degree level (MSc/MBA) or equivalent would be desired and/or a CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) qualification
  • Previous experience of applying strategic sourcing/procurement skills in the workplace
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach and the ability to develop positive working relationships both internally and externally
  • High level of self-motivation, tenacity to drive and deliver results in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent level of commercial and business acumen; with an understanding of the nature of our products and services
  • Proven project management skills with ability to drive continuous improvements, savings, and best practices with ability to influence change successfully cross-functionally
  • Comfortable working in a complex and changing organization working in scenarios of ambiguity
  • A knowledge of what makes a good contract, ideally with experience in contract drafting
  • Works with integrity, role modelling the behaviours aligned to being an inclusive workplace
