At JSP we pride ourselves on the quality of the service we offer with a client centred approach respecting the individuality of each case and each person.We are looking for a Team Leader to lead an expanding, but small team of support workers who will assist our client to continue to live independently in his own home in the community. Support 24 hours per day x 7 days per week and is predominantly 1:1 with sleep-in nights. There is a 2:1 requirement for certain activities.Part of this role is to manage the team of support workers and includes key responsibilities such as rota planning, managing holiday/sickness cover, supervising existing staff and training new team members. In addition, you will work closely with the case manager and the team of therapists who work with the client on a regular basis.Our client is a 24-year-old man living with an acquired brain injury and significantly difficult cognition/ comprehension. His verbal communication is poor, but he can vocalise and make his wishes known. He has a somewhat mischievous personality and is fun to be around. He is very physically active with very good mobility and enjoys any thrill-seeking activity – theme parks and fairgrounds in particular. He has a set weekly activity planner to keep him busy and occupied, he loves being around people and is very sociable, attending lots of local support groups and events. He regularly attends the gym and also loves swimming.A driving licence is crucial and also you will need to be a confident driver, in order to use our client’s Motability Kia Stonic, on short local drives, and further afield.About you:Essential

  • You have a full, clean UK driving licence

Preferred

  • You have experience of supporting someone with a brain injury and cognitive difficulties
  • You are familiar with safeguarding requirements and DOLS
  • You are able to commute to and from work

The company was established in 1994 and is now a successful rehabilitation and case management consultancy, working in close co-operation with the legal profession. We now have four offices employing around 80 staff. We manage over 400 support workers and provide services to just under 400 clients nationally.JSP are not an employment agency, we help our clients to recruit their own support workers as part of our case management service, You will be employed directly by the client, however, JSP oversee all aspects of the clients care package on her behalf.ACGSP
